Frequent business or personal travel doesn't need to disrupt Invisalign treatment. Here's how our travelling patients manage aligners on the road.
Invisalign is one of the more travel-friendly orthodontic options available, since there's no wire to break and no monthly clinic visit required. A few simple habits make travelling with aligners genuinely easy.
Before You Travel
Handling Time Zones
Aligners are typically changed on a 1–2 week cycle, not a strict daily clock — so time zone changes don't meaningfully affect your schedule. Just keep track of which numbered set you're on and continue the sequence as planned.
If You Lose an Aligner While Travelling
Move to your next aligner in sequence if it fits comfortably, or move back to your previous one temporarily, and contact your clinic as soon as possible. Avoid going more than a couple of days without any aligner in, as teeth can shift back slightly.
